Stonework Richmond Concrete and Masonry, richmondconcreteandmasonry.com, hello@richmondconcreteandmasonry.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and the masonry and concrete work Stonework Richmond Concrete and Masonry does for homeowners in Richmond, CA and the cities around it.
By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking work with us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site, and give us a call so we can talk it through.
What we do
We're a masonry contractor in Richmond, CA. We do foundation, chimney, brick, block, stone, paver and concrete work, and we're fully licensed and insured. You can read more about us on our About page.
The site describes our services in general terms. What we'll actually do on your job is what's written in your estimate or contract, because the right method and materials depend on what we find at your house.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and done on site, with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, so it's our best figure for the work as described. It isn't a fixed price for problems nobody could see yet.
If we open up a job and find something hidden, like a cracked footing behind a wall or rotted framing behind brick, we'll stop, show you, and give you the added cost in writing before we go on. Prices mentioned on the site or over the phone are general and don't bind either of us until they're in a signed estimate or contract. An estimate is good for the period written on it.
Scheduling and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you. That date is our target, not a guarantee, because rain, material delays, permit timing and earlier jobs running long can push it back, so we'll tell you as soon as we know something has moved.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us at (510) 369-4799 as early as you can. You may owe for work already done and for materials we've already ordered for your job, especially special-order stone, brick or pavers. Your contract may set its own cancellation terms, and nothing here takes away any right to cancel that the law gives you.
Payment terms
Your contract sets out what you pay and when, including any deposit and progress payments. Unless it says otherwise, final payment is due when the work in the contract is finished.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled. We'll talk to you before we do that, because we'd rather sort it out than leave a job half done.
Warranties and what they don't cover
Any warranty on our work is the one written in your contract, and it covers only what that contract says. Brick, block, pavers, mortar, sealers and other materials carry their makers' own warranties, and we'll pass those on to you where we can.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as earthquakes, ground movement, tree roots, drainage problems we weren't hired to fix, misuse, or changes someone else makes later. This website and the information on it are provided as is, and we don't promise it's always complete, current or free of errors.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses that come from using this website or from relying on the general information on it. For work we do at your house, our responsibility is the one set out in your contract.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that California law doesn't allow a business to limit.
If we disagree
If something isn't right, call us first, because most problems get fixed fastest on site with the crew who did the work.
If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before either of us goes to court.
Governing law
These terms, your use of the site and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Unless the law requires otherwise, any court case will be heard in the state courts that cover Contra Costa County, where Richmond is.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one that applies when you use the site. A change here doesn't alter a contract you've already signed with us.
